আমদানি ও রপ্তানি নিয়ন্ত্রণ অধিদপ্তরের কার্যাবলী: 

 আমদানি ও রপ্তানি নিয়ন্ত্রণ অধিদপ্তরের কার্যাবলীর সংক্ষিপ্ত বর্ণনা নিম্নে প্রদত্ত হলো :

1. আমদানি নীতি আদেশ প্রণয়ন ও প্রকাশনায় বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়কে প্রত্যক্ষ সহায়তা প্রদান্ ও তার বাস্তবায়ন ;
2. The Importers, Exporters and Indentors (Registration)Orders,1981 এর আওতায় বাণিজ্যিক শিল্প আমদানিকারকদের অনুকুলে ইন্ডেন্টিং সনদপত্র (Indenting registration Cretificate)জারিকারন, নবায়ন ও বিধি বহির্ভূত কাজের জন্য নিবন্ধন সনদপত্র স্থগিত/বাতিলকরন ;
3. নিবন্ধন ও নবায়ন ফিস আদায় তদারকিরন এবং এতদসংক্রান্ত পরিসংখ্যান সংগ্রহ ও সংরক্ষন ;
4. আমদানি ও রপ্তানি সংক্রান্ত সংসদের প্রশ্নত্তোর তৈরি সংক্রান্ত কাজ ;
5. আমদানি পারমিট/রপ্তানি পারমিট/ক্লিয়ারেন্স পারমিট/ফেরতের ভিত্তিতে আমদানি পারমিট/রপ্তান কাম আমদানি পারমিট সংক্রান্ত কাজ ;
6. আর্ন্তজাতিক ও আঞ্চলিক মেলা অনুষ্ঠানের ক্ষেত্রে পারমিট জারিকরণ সংক্রান্ত কাজ;
7. ইম্পোর্ট ট্রেড কন্ট্রোল সিডিউল (আইটিসি)সংক্রান্ত কমিটির কাজ;
8. এইচএস কোড নম্বর, পণ্যের শ্রেনী বিন্যাস অথবা বিবরণ সম্পর্কে বিরোধসহ অন্যান্য বিষয়ে শুল্ক কর্তপক্ষের সঙ্গে আমদানিকারকদের উদ্ভুত সমস্যা নিস্পতিকরণ ;
9. আমদানি নীতি আদেশের বিধানসমুহ সম্পর্কে সৃষ্টি যে কোন জটিল ব্যাখ্যা প্রদান;
10. বিরাজমান অর্থনৈতিক ও বাণিজ্যিক পরিস্থিতির প্রেক্ষাপটে প্রচলিত আমদানি নীতি আদেশের ধারা /উপধারার সংস্কার ও পরিবর্তন সংক্রান্ত বিষয়ে বানিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়কে প্রয়োজনীয় পরামর্শ প্রদান ;
11. আমদানী নীতি আদেশের যে কোন পরিবর্তন , সংযোজন , সংশোধন সংক্রান্ত গণবিঙ্গপ্তি জারিকাণ এবং আমদানি নীতি আদেশের আলোকে বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রনালয় কর্তৃক প্রদত্ত সিদ্ধান্ত সমূহ বাস্তবায়ন;
12. আমদানি ও রপ্তানি সংক্রান্ত তথ্যাদি বিশ্লেষন এবং তদুনুযায়ী অবহিতকরণ;
13. বৈদেশিক সাহায্যপ্যুষ্ট প্রকল্প, বিদেশী ও বহুজাতিক কোম্পানিসমুহের আমদানি ও রপ্তানি নিবন্ধন সনদপত্র জারি এবং উক্ত প্রতিষ্ঠাণসমূহের অনুকুলে বিদেশী উদ্যেক্তা কর্তৃক ইক্যুয়িটি শেয়ারের বিপরীতে পণ্য আমদানি জন্য পারমিট / অনুমতিপত্র প্রদান সংক্রান্ত সকল কাজ ;
14. বিভিন্ন বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংক থেকে প্রাপ্ত ঋনপত্রের কপি পরীক্ষকরণ ও তদুনুযায়ী গ্রহণ,পর্যালোচনা ও সংরক্ষন ;
15. পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রনালয়ের সুপারিশের ভিত্তিতে বাংলাদেশে অবস্থিত বিদেশী দুতাবাসসমুহে/হাইকমিশনে কর্মরত কর্মকর্তা/কর্মচারীদের অনুকুলে ব্যক্তিগত মালামালের জন্য রপ্তানি পারমিট জারিকরন; এবং
16. আমদানি ব্যয় এবং রাজস্ব আয়ের পরিসংখ্যান সংক্রান্ত কর্যক্রম ইত্যাদি ।

Functions of the Department of Office of the Chief controller of Imports and Exports (CCIE)

This department used to play the role of regulator in import and export trade. In the context of globalization and changed world trade, the Department is acting as the current supporting partner organization by largely relaxing and simplifying the existing control system. The following is a brief description of the current activities of this department:
Provide direct assistance to the Ministry of Commerce in formulation and publication of import policy orders and its implementation;
1. Issuance of Indenting Certificate in favor of Importers, Exporters and Indentors (Registration) Orders, 1981, suspension / revocation of Registration Certificate for non-regulatory work;
2. Supervision of registration and renewal fee collection and collection and storage of related statistics;
3. Work related to preparation of Parliamentary Q&A on import and export
4.  Work related to import permit / export permit / clearance permit / import permit / export work import permit on return basis;
5.  Work related to issuance of permits for international and regional fairs;
6.  Work of Committee on Import Trade Control Schedule (ITC);
7. Resolve issues arising from importers with customs authorities on other issues including disputes over HS code numbers, product classification or details;
8. Provide any complex explanation that arises regarding the provisions of the import policy order;
9. To provide necessary advice to the Ministry of Commerce on the reform and change of section / sub-section of the existing import policy order in the light of the prevailing economic and trade situation;
10. Implementation of the decisions given by the Ministry of Commerce in the light of any change, addition, amendment to the Import Policy Order and the import policy order;
11. Analysis of import and export information and notification accordingly;
12. Issuance of foreign and aided projects, import and export registration certificates of foreign and multinational companies and issuance of permits / permits for import of goods against equity shares by foreign entrepreneurs in favor of such establishments;
13. Examining and receiving, reviewing and preserving copies of bonds received from various commercial banks accordingly;
Issuance of export permits for personal goods in favor of officials / employees working in foreign embassies / high commissions in Bangladesh on the basis of recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; And
14. Activities related to import expenditure and revenue income statistics etc.
